In touching a number of threads it came to my attention (or re-attention, if there is such a word) that tomorrow is the day that decides if the Sonics stay in Seattle. To my thinking, it's a foregone conclusion that the team will head south and east to that basketball Mecca of Oklahoma City (????). And in doing so, I am of the opinion that the Sonics/Supersonics name should stay in the Emerald City, Dorothy.
So, what should the new nickname of the former Sonics team be when they arrive in Oklahoma...where the wind comes sweeping down the plain? I'll give you my thoughts shortly.
